Our NMS Choir Beasts have been hitting the performances hard this weekend! To start, the members of the Knight Lights show choir traveled to Carroll this past weekend for their first competitive performance of the year. Going up against 8 other groups from all over the state, the Knight Lights put on an awesome performance taking 2nd Runner-Up out of 9, with 8th Grader, Corban Hershberger receiving the Best Performer award for the group as well! If you weren’t able to make it down for the fun-filled evening, you can find the recording of last night’s livestream here (KL performance starts around 3:46:00). They take the stage again next week at the Homestead Classic Showcase (Friday, Feb. 13th @8:55pm). Huge congrats to the Knight Lights on their fantastic first performance!
But wait, there’s more!
27 brave beasts from grades 6-8 also traveled out to Fairfield Jr/Sr High on Saturday for the ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest. Out of our 27 Middle School Choir Students who took a solo, 25 of them received a gold rating (highest possible rating)! On top of that, we also had 7 from among those 25 students who also earned a perfect score from their judges along with their gold rating! Mr. Maura and I could not be prouder of all of these kids and the hard work and practice they put into these performances! Awesome job kids and keep it up!
