Just in case you’ve been anxiously waiting with bated breath to find out how our choir beasts did, we have the results you’ve been waiting for!

Golds across the board!!!

Grade 6  Judge 1   GOLD     Judge 2  GOLD    Judge  3 GOLD!!!

Grade 7   Judge 1    GOLD    Judge 2 GOLD     Judge 3 GOLD!!!

Grade  8   Judge 1    GOLD     Judge 2 GOLD    Judge 3 GOLD!!!

And if a little something caught your eye on one of the plaques, the 6th Grade Choir was also awarded a “With Distinction” award based on their scores (They were only 2.5 points away from a perfect score of 27)!!

And on top of all of that, both the 7th Grade and 8th Grade NMS Bands received Gold Ratings earlier in the day as well!! Must be something in the water at NMS that produces awesome musicians…. Or we just have some amazingly talented kids!!!

We couldn’t be prouder of these kids and the hard work and long hours that they put in to reach this high level of excellence! WAY TO GO BEASTS!!!!

Another week (or 2) of students rising to the challenge and standing out as top beasts! Whether it was keeping focused after long days of ISTEP testing or carefully picking apart and cleaning just a small passage of our contest music these kids kept their eye on the prize! Here are the tip-top beast o’the week (and last week)!

7th Grade: Aubrey Byers, Ethan Dill, Madison Kliewer, Landon Story, Emma Tapp, Tara Vitali

8th Grade: Heidi Flores, Mason Floria, Emily Knox, Ava Miller, Ashley Penzenik

All entries for ISSMA 2018 will be due (with payment) by Wednesday, 11/29 at 8:30 a.m.  Please send these entries in with your child or drop them off by the deadline so that we can submit the NMS registration on time.  Thank you!

ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Registration

Some amazing kids are doing amazing things. These are our top beasts in the last two weeks. Congratulations, and keep up the Llam-tastic work! Two hooves up to all of you.

If you forgot where you put our list of tomorrow’s times and locations, here ya go!

6th Grade Choir: Report to band room by 2:25.  Performs at 3:00 p.m.

6th Grade ensemble will perform right after the 6th grade choirs are done.

7th: Report to band room by 3:05 p.m.  Performs at 3:40 p.m.

7th grade duet and 7th grade ensemble will sing right before the 8th grade choirs sing (about 4:10)

8th grade reports to band room by 3:50 p.m.  Performs at 4:20 p.m.

Just The Guys report to band room by 4:30 p.m.  Performs approx. 4:50 p.m.

*Students have been asked to watch at least two choirs perform before going home.  If you can’t stay, no problem.  We will give them a written assignment to complete next week.

This week’s choir beasts were EXTRAORDINARY!  All of the beasts are really working as SwingFry quickly approaches, but these kids stood out in the “herd!”   Great job you were all Llam-tastic!
