What a wonderful evening we had with the Just The Guys Concert.  We hope you enjoyed watching your young men grow so much in their first 9 weeks this year.  The 6th grade ensemble apparently has a new fan club, the 7th/8th grade ensemble has its own groupies, and I think our 6/7/8 Combined Choir with Mr. Detwiler on percussion and Mr. Cone on Bass just stole the show for the evening.  Yes, I’m a biased Mama Armington, but I do think they were outstanding.  If you would like to catch some of the great pictures Jay Yaney  took during the show you will find them on our Facebook page.

Our boys were so grateful for the cool locker decorations  Bethany Rudd, Dana Beaver, Tobi Oxenrider, and Marcy Showalter made.  Here’s what they looked like!

Our boys wrote a couple of thank you notes for all of the parents who helped this show be so much fun.  Here are a few samples:

We would love to relax and bask in the glory of this show, but our SwingFry program is just about 3 weeks away!!!!  Please double check your calendars for any conflicts.  If you find one, please have your child complete a conflict form and turn it in by Tuesday, October 23rd so that it can be excused and we can give them an alternate Essay to do.

Great job students!  Choosing to be a leader isn’t always the easy thing to do, but when you make that choice good things really happen!  We appreciate how much each of you do in our class to make the most of your time with us.   “Two Hooves Up” to all of you.

Please don’t forget that the SwingFry Ticket Pre-Sale Order due date is approaching quickly.  October 24 is next Tuesday.  No orders will be taken after Tuesday.  Remember, your child gets in to all shows for free, but you will need to pay for their dinner.    I am sending an additional order form home tomorrow with all interested students.
