You may purchase your SF tickets here or at the door on November 11th at NHS. We highly recommend you purchase them online so that you can avoid long lines. Please remember that this is our one and only fundraiser for Choir. Invite as many to dinner as you can. Students get in to all shows for free but will need a dinner purchased for them.

We wanted to remind you that the SwingFry (our first show and Fall Fundraiser) is about 1 month away. I know a lot of people who wait until the last minute to sign up for their position(s) but we really need you to sign up sometime this week so that we have a good head count of what is covered and what is not getting covered. Please remember that each choir parent should lend a hand for at least 1 or 2 slots for SwingFry. This “party” will bring in around 3,000 people from the Middlebury Community. We need more volunteers for this than any thing else this year. If you are worried about missing your child’s performance time…don’t worry! If you should happen to sign up during their performance time you will be excused to go see them! I wish I could give you their performance times now but I don’t receive them until 2 weeks before the show. We have other visiting schools that may participate with our choirs and they will get first dibs on the slots available 🙂 It is best to sign up for slots after 5:00 p.m. so that our high school parents will get a chance to watch their kids perform.

Every year at the Swing Fry concerts we have a huge bake sale and a Silent Auction. Parents donate things to the auction so that we can raise money for the Choir Programs at NMS and NHS. Many parents donate services from their jobs, while others are happy to donate new items. We are planning on having this auction through 32auction.com again. I want to have this up and going the week before Swing Fry. We will need all items no later than Saturday 11/4, so we can get everything set-up and the auction live by Monday.
First the voice lesson slots are available for the 7th grade not the 8th grade classes.
Secondly, the concert calendar for choir has a misprint for the Swing Fry!! It says that the Fundraiser SwingFry is on the 12th. It is on the 11th which is a Saturday. Please make this change on your calendar. I apologize.
Mrs. Norwood has a few slots left for voice lessons in 8th grade choir. Call 574-238-6363 if you would like one for your child!!
If you will click on the parent info tab above you will find a background check form. We ask all of our volunteers to complete this to assure safety of our children. If you have already filled one out this year you do not need to complete this form. 🙂 We appreciate your help with this. Thank you!

We had a fantastic evening last night and hundreds of you showed up in support of the Choral Department in Middlebury Community Schools. THANK YOU! Below you will find a link to the slide presentation we gave last night. Also I’ve included the slide show for all Show Choir parents. Unfortunately I can’t give you all that we talked about but I hope this helps you understand what is happening. The main points were the website, signing up as concert volunteers, and our Fall fundraiser “SwingFry”. We did not include all of the volunteer positions for SwingFry in the first mailing because we want everyone to know that it is a completely different event than our other concerts. Swingfry is a big party/fundraiser that we put on for the Middlebury community. It features all of our choirs performing at the NHS Auditorium while an ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH/CHICKEN DINNER is being served in the Cafeteria. We will need 1-2 representatives from each of our choir families to fill a time slot (or two) to run this shindig! Please sign up on the link below for the SWINGFRY VOLUNTEER POSITIONS. It will be important for you to sign up for a time after 5:30 that day so that you will not miss your child’s performance. The high school parents will work all of the shifts during our NMS shows and then our parents are asked to cover all of the late afternoon/evening shifts. Finally we will not be able to give you actual performance times until we are closer to SwingFry. A letter will be going home that includes times and dress rehearsal information a few weeks before our performance.
