Show choir camp is available this summer for all students grades 6-8.  Here is the info that shares the exciting details!

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but yesterday we received word from the ISSMA Executive Committee and the Indiana State Department of Health that all ISSMA organizational contests will be cancelled through the beginning of April.:( Unfortunately this means that all of the times and schedules and info that we sent home over the past couple of weeks can be disregarded for next Saturday. This does not mean that all of the hard work that the kids have been putting into getting their songs ready for contest will go to waste however! They will still be performing these pieces for you all during the Final Blast concerts in May, so try to keep a lid on your anticipation until then!:) Sorry for the disappointing news! Hopefully everyone can now plan a nice, peaceful, and relaxing Saturday next weekend (filled with lots of sleep and hand washing)!

We have been very neglectful in posting our top choir beasts! Our apologies!!  These kids are real stand outs in their choirs. We are so grateful for their hard work, great attitudes, and leadership.  Great job kids!

We’ve had a great week here in choir beast land as we’ve jumped back into the swing of things! In case you are looking for something to do this weekend, the kids (I can still call them that right:) ) over at high school hit the ground running as well as they’ve been preparing to put on their performance of the hit musical “Newsies”! They would love to see you there! Here’s a little bit of info to pique your interest!

And just like that we’re in the swing of things again! Coming home today with your daughter/son is a parent letter detailing important dates coming up this semester, so be on the lookout for that today! However, just in case the locker elves happen to get a hold of it, I’ve attached a copy here for your convenience. Here we go!

Thanks parents for stepping up and volunteering.  We have all volunteer shifts covered.  The only area we are short in is the clean up crew.  These are people who stay after the show and help us pack up, take down decorations, and load boxes of costumes and props.  If you would be able to help help out in that way, please sign up on signup genius or shoot us an email.  Thanks!  PS Donations are beginning to trickle in but we are a far cry from the $1500 mark.  PSS Tickets are here!  They will go on sale Monday for $2.00.  We will sell them in class.  Just remember to tell your child what show to buy them for:  4:30 or 7:00 p.m.  HO HO HO!  See you soon!

We sent home a parent letter Monday that listed the volunteer positions that desperately need to be filled for next week’s concert.  Unfortunately we have had only one reply.  Parents we need chaperones for all 3 grades during both shows!!! This has never happened.  If we don’t have chaperones then the kids will have to sit with you in the audience until it is time for them to sing.   That would be very disruptive to the show.  We can’t leave them unsupervised while we are on stage directing.  Please considering helping out for one show.  The openings are listed under the SignUp Genius tab on this page.   Most of you will be at one show anyway.  What’s one more hour?  Think about it and sign up asap.  Thanks again.   Signed “2 trembling directors”
