It looks like each grade will sit with their parents during the show since we only have a few parents signed up to chaperone. I hate for that to happen, it will really drag out the show. But, I can’t leave them unsupervised. Please plan accordingly unless you hear back from me.

I need a 6th and 8th grade mom to make phone reminders. That should have happened by yesterday, but once again not one person signed up. Please check sign up genius to see if you signed up because you may not receive a phone reminder.

Big thank you’s to the moms who made flowers and Locker Decorations. The kids were very excited when they received them!

2 Things

All flower people 🙂 (people who are making flowers for me), could I get them by Tuesday morning? You can throw them in a trash bag or a box. Thank you for lending a hand!!

Speaking of lending a hand, only 7 people have signed up for all of those open volunteer positions! Yikes! Please don’t wait for someone else to volunteer. Step up and lend a hand if you can. Couples can sign up together!! We need these positions filled we’re at emergency status right now.

We need people in all areas but especially in the chaperone department! We can’t watch the kids because we are on stage. It’s not a fun job but it’s only for an hour and 15 minutes.

Another scary area for us is dinner crew. We must have at least 12 parents watching over the kids while they eat. Otherwise…well let’s not go there.

Please step up soon. This is a deep concern right now. Thank you so much. Mrs. Armington

2025 Contest and Clinic Results!

If you were not able to make it out to the choir contest today you missed an awesome afternoon of some amazing performances! Each group came ready to sing their best and had their eyes on the prize! A huge thank you to our guest judges: Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Norwood, and Ms. Yost for lending your talents and skills to help listen to and score our choirs! And a special thank you to Ms. Yost for working so expertly and excitingly with the kids in the clinics afterwards to push them to even higher heights! And because we know you were anxiously awaiting the scoring results, a drumroll please…………….Gold Ratings for all 3 groups!!! A huge congratulations to all of the choirs on setting their sights on this high bar and achieving it! Super proud of these kids and the day of amazing performing they had! One final note: We still had several open slots remaining for treats for the celebration on Monday. If you would have any interest/availability in helping out in that way please feel free to reach out to Mr. Norwood/Mrs. Armington, or simply send them in with your daughter/son on Monday (packs/sets of 48 ideally; salty or sweet). Thank you for your help and your consideration! Now enjoy some well-deserved rest this weekend you gold-winning choir stars!

Help needed for Saturday!

Parents below are the times for Saturday’s performances in the NMS Augitorium. A few times have been adjusted since last week’s parent letter. Please use this list as your guide!

Each grade should arrive in time to warm up in the choir room. While we are warming up, parents should be taking their seats in the auditorium. The doors to the auditorium must close at performance time. They will not open again until after the clinic is completed. We could really use some help at the doors, directing traffic, closing doors at the appropriate time, and addressing any questions. If you are available to help out at the door, please contact Mrs. Armington. Armingtonj@mcsin-k12.org. We would like you there 15 minutes in advance to help the audience come in and get seated.
This will be a very exciting time for our students and the families who come to watch them perform. There will be three judges, and our guest clinician is Marcia Yost. This performance is free and open to the public!
